JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking to hire a part-time PR ghostwriter who can write pitches and informative answers to questions on behalf of our clients who are experts in their respective fields.

If you're experienced in any of the following, feel encouraged to apply!
Medical writing, PR pitching, real estate writing, educational writing, HARO writing, Qwoted writing, public relations,

In order to be invited to interview, applicants must have a high mastery of written English and be able to work on a daily basis Monday-Thursday (or Tuesday-Friday) with at least some time spent between 8am and 7pm Eastern Time (US) for collaborative purposes.

Our writers start the day by finding pitching opportunities on digital PR websites/programs including Qwoted, Connectively, Featured, HERO, HARO, and more. You will learn how to efficiently source PR opportunities and generate valuable expert content on your own. Generating each pitch will often require a good amount of research online, but the amount time spent researching will decrease as you get more familiar with the subject matter.

This is a fast-paced role because pitches are very time-sensitive, but there's a large degree of flexibility–your hours can vary but they must be tailored towards what is effective and what works best for the journalists we're seeking to help. Often, this means evenings and early mornings in the Philippines, but as you become more established in the role, you will be able to work more independently and flexibly.

The writing style for this role does not need to be formal; in fact, a casual tone is best. Our goal is usually to mimic the way a professional would speak in an interview or conversation, so this job basically entails writing would-be transcripts. Professionals speak "professionally", but not necessarily the same way they'd write. The best way to write these, in our experience, is to word things the way someone would word them while speaking to a journalist, documentarian, or a live audience. While working with us, you'll learn much more along these lines.

Most pitches range from 100 to 500 words, and as you become more knowledgeable about representing a given source, you will be able to write them very quickly. We compensate you based on each pitch you write, so as you get quicker, you'll be making more money per hour. On top of that, we provide incentives via substantial bonuses, pitch rate increases, and other opportunities with our company. Consistent, talented, and diligent writers can make a fantastic income with this job.

The number one most important aspect of a successful relationship will be communication. We do 99% of our communication via Skype messaging, although you may also be invited to hop on the occasional Skype video/audio call. If you don't have Skype, you'll need to make an account in order to interview and continue to work with us. Skype will be your lifeline, so be sure to monitor it regularly to keep in touch. Excellent communicators thrive with our team.
