We need a skilled video editor to ensure our content is polished, engaging, and widely accessible. Given the controversial nature of some topics we discuss, it is crucial that the editor has the intelligence and knowledge to filter out certain words appropriately.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented Podcast Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming long-form raw videos and podcasts into engaging, digestible content. This includes creating reels, selecting and experimenting with thumbnails, managing audio quality, and being mindful of keywords and censorship requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Edit Long-Form Raw Videos: Transform unedited footage into cohesive and engaging episodes.
• Create Digestible Reels: Extract key moments from podcasts to create short, impactful reels for social media and promotional use.
• Thumbnail Selection and Experimentation: Design and select compelling thumbnails to maximize viewer engagement and click-through rates.
• Audio Management: Ensure high-quality audio, manage multiple audio sources, and maintain consistency throughout episodes.
• Keyword Awareness and Censorship: Integrate relevant keywords and ensure content adheres to censorship guidelines.
• Guest Coordination: Handle audio and video quality for remote guests, particularly for high-profile shows like Patriot Report Liberty Report.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, editing techniques, and platform algorithms to enhance content reach and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in video editing, particularly in podcast or long-form content.
• Proven experience working in a multinational company.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
• Strong understanding of audio editing and quality control.
• Creative eye for selecting and designing thumbnails.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and content optimization.
• Experience with remote guest coordination is a plus.
• Efficient in utilizing Slack and Asana management tools.
• Comfortable working the first shift in America, which corresponds to the third shift in the Philippines.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with SEO and keyword optimization.
• Experience with censorship requirements and guidelines.
• Graphic design skills for creating engaging thumbnails.
