We are a US-based startup looking for a senior-level financial analyst/controller to support both our business and our clients. We provide strategic sales and marketing support to digital accessibility companies on a retainer + commission model.
This role primarily involves analyzing financial data, developing pricing strategies, and providing financial insights. The candidate will also help set the financial foundation for our business, helping to ensure we keep accounting best practices in mind. Responsibilities Include:
1. Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data for both our business and our clients.
- Conduct variance analysis and develop financial models.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
2. QuickBooks Setup and Management:
- Set up and manage QuickBooks or similar accounting software for our business.
- Customize reports and dashboards to meet business needs.
3. Client Support:
- Work with clients to review their books and provide insights into margins and pricing strategies to amplify our impact on our sales strategy support.
- Offer strategic financial advice and support to clients, both on calls and over

- Evaluate current pricing strategies for our business and clients.
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to improve margins.
- Monitor market trends and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
5. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Prepare and monitor budgets and financial forecasts for our business and clients.
- Adjust forecasts based on changing business conditions.
6. Cost Analysis and Control:
- Conduct cost analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Implement cost control measures for our business and clients.
7. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present financial reports for our business and clients.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
8. Payroll Management:
- Handle payroll tasks including assisting in the processing and filing 1099s for our business.
- Help ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements in the US and for international contractors (based in Philippines, Korea, India, and Argentina).
Hard Skill Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 5-7 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial controller, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with payroll management and handling 1099s.
- Experience working with multiple clients and managing their financial needs.
Soft Skills and Additional Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results on time.
- Experience in consultative approaches to provide strategic advice and support to clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable discussing in English with US-based clients.
