YouTube Thumbnail Creator / Editor

EFX Algo is seeking a talented, high-performing thumbnail designer who can create eye-catching and effective thumbnails for our YouTube videos as well as compelling graphics for our marketing materials. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, a deep understanding of visual storytelling, and the ability to drive action through their creations. This role prioritizes quality and speed and can be part-time or freelance.

Balancing creativity and strategy is what you do best. You understand the principles of visual hierarchy, color theory, and typography to produce top-tier designs that drive engagement and click-through rates. You’ve done this before at a high level and can show trackable progress from previous projects.

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Must have experience in Graphic Design, specifically for digital media
- Timely delivery of design projects after sources are provided
- Turnaround time of 1 to 2 business days per project
- Expected volume: 10 to 15 thumbnails or graphic designs per week
- Must have a good written and oral understanding of English to receive instructions
- Deep understanding of social media platforms (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, Instagram)
- Skilled in creating designs that are visually compelling and drive engagement
- Demonstrates an interest in internet culture, recent pop culture news, and emerging trends
- Strong understanding of visual storytelling, color theory, typography, and design principles
- Proven success in creating designs that increase click-through rates and engagement
- Speed and clarity in communication (primarily in Slack)
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change
- 2+ years of relevant experience in graphic design
