JOB OVERVIEW

We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Remote Assistant - Procurement Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our procurement processes, ensuring cost-efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards in the acquisition of goods and services. If you excel in procurement strategy, supplier management, and can work effectively in a remote capacity, we want to hear from you.

Your primary responsibilities will include handling shipping and product quotations with suppliers, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive connection and smooth communication with our management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Strategy:
- Develop and implement remote procurement strategies aligned with company goals, including sourcing and cost-saving initiatives.
- Evaluate and select suppliers and manage vendor relationships virtually.

• Purchase Management:
- Virtually oversee the procurement of goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisitions.
- Review and approve purchase orders and procurement requests.

• Cost Control:
- Monitor and analyze remote procurement expenses.
- Implement cost-effective measures without compromising quality.

• Supplier Management:
- Communication with vendors.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve issues and optimize partnerships.
- Coordinate functions like production, shipping and logistics.

• Quality Assurance:
- Ensure purchased items meet quality standards by implementing virtual quality control measures.
- Handle any quality-related issues with suppliers remotely.

• Documentation and Reporting:
- Work docket creation.
- Maintain organized records of procurement activities and invoices.
- Daily/weekly/monthly executive summary reports.

• Remote Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with various departments or teams through virtual meetings and communication tools.
- Facilitate remote cross-functional discussions to align on process improvements and project assignments.
- Listen and interpret messages, execute tasks effectively.

Qualifications:
- A strong understanding of sourcing and vendor communication for consumable products.
- Strong knowledge of packaging products and flexible packaging in food and beverage industry.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar procurement role, with remote work capabilities, executive assistant experiences as an asset.
- Proficiency in Excel functions, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong personal skills with a high level of communication proficiency.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Working hours in PST time zone are Sunday through Thursday exclude National holidays, either from 4pm to 1am, or from 1am to 10am, with an unpaid one-hour break. National holidays will be determined collaboratively between team members and the employer. Training will be provided.
Payment method: Twice a month via WISE.

After completing one year of service with us, team members become entitled to compensation for National holidays at their current hourly rate. Moreover, team members gain performance-based year-end bonus as an extra incentive.
