JOB OVERVIEW

Join our team at Bentley Accounting, a leading CPA Accounting Practice in Australia, specialising in high-end tax return preparation. With our firm rapidly reaching its capacity, we're on the hunt for an Office Manager who can help us scale our operations by managing administrative tasks efficiently, allowing us to focus on growth and client satisfaction.
This person should also be an accountant with experience working for Australian accounting firms in doing tax preparation.

Key Responsibilities
Admin role

Client Communication: Act as the first point of contact for client queries, ensuring prompt and polite responses.

Phone Management: Handle incoming calls with impeccable English; experience with Australian clientele preferred.

Staff Coordination: Oversee administrative staff to ensure adherence to procedures and standards.

Ensuring that all emails are attended to

Ensuring that client bookings have been made correctly

Properly reviewing client documents to ensure that all required data is provided to us on time

Accountant Role
Primarily assisting with tax return preparation process from start to finish, including
preparing the tax returns (ie rental schedules, Capital Gains Schedules, Income and Deductions, Offsets and more) – these will be reviewed by your manager prior to lodgment
For companies, trusts and partnerships - preparing tax returns (as above) and financial statements
Preparing Business Activity Statements (BASs)


Ideal Candidate:
- Has at least 2 years of experience in Preparation of End of Year Tax Returns and Financial Statements for Individuals, Companies and Trusts
- understands how GST works
- Seeks long-term employment and growth within our firm.
- Exhibits exceptional speaking and writing skills in English.
- Capable of client interaction and administrative staff management (training provided).
- Displays a positive attitude, politeness, and friendliness.
- Follows instructions with keen attention to detail, especially when reading client emails
- Shows integrity, commitment, and a willingness to learn from mistakes.
