System Engineer (OpenStack Deployment)

Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled System Engineer with expertise in OpenStack deployment, configuration, development, and customization. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining OpenStack environments to meet our organization's evolving infrastructure needs.

***Key Responsibilities:
- OpenStack Deployment: Lead the deployment process of OpenStack configurations across development, testing, and production environments.
- Configuration Management: Develop and implement best practices for OpenStack configuration management, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Development and Customization: Collaborate with software developers and architects to customize OpenStack components, integrate new features, and enhance platform functionality.
- Infrastructure Automation: Implement automation tools and scripts to streamline deployment processes, minimize manual intervention, and improve efficiency.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance resource utilization and maximize system throughput.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure OpenStack environments adhere to industry-standard security practices and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Documentation and Training: Create detailed documentation, guidelines, and training materials to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure operational excellence.

***Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in deploying, configuring, and managing OpenStack environments in enterprise-scale deployments.
- Proficiency in Linux system administration, including experience with virtualization technologies such as KVM and Docker.
- Strong scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation and orchestration tasks.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform) for provisioning and configuration management.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., VLANs, IP addressing, routing).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
