Job Description:
As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of our startup law firm. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of financial duties, including but not limited to billing, budgeting, and advising the firm on financial strategies. We are seeking a candidate with exceptional QuickBooks expertise, a proven track record in a professional corporate US environment, and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a licensed CPA.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing Exercise:
Propose a detailed billing strategy for a legal service firm, taking into account different billing structures, client communication, and compliance requirements. Include recommendations for improving the firm's current billing practices.

QuickBooks Expertise:
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of QuickBooks by outlining your experience using the software in a professional setting. Provide examples of how you've optimized financial processes using QuickBooks.

Budgeting:
Outline a comprehensive plan for creating and managing monthly, quarterly, and yearly budgets for a startup law firm. Discuss strategies for cost control, revenue optimization, and financial forecasting.

References:
Provide at least 3 professional references from your experience working as a CPA for a US-based business. These references should speak to your financial acumen, attention to detail, and ability to drive financial success.

Experience and Education:
Detail your professional background, emphasizing your experience working at an executive and c-suite level. Confirm your CPA licensure and showcase your academic achievements.

Entrepreneurial Mindset:
Share instances where you've demonstrated an entrepreneurial mindset in your previous roles, especially when it comes to building financial infrastructure and policies for a startup or growing business.

Confidence and Leadership:
Highlight instances where you've provided leadership in determining salaries, budgeting for hiring employees, and implementing motivational bonuses. Illustrate how your financial decisions contributed to the success of the organizations you've worked with.

Salary range quoted is dependent on experience, and previous experience with budget management in a US based business is REQUIRED! Work hours for this role will be determined upon review of the applicant's proposed financial plan for the firm (that is to be submitted by the applicant in his/her application materials. Also, please be prepared if selected for an interview to talk about your previous experience handling the billing operations for a small business.
