We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to handle all financial aspects of our property business portfolio. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate a thorough understanding of property management accounting and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

* Accounts Management: Handle daily accounting tasks including ledger management, accounts payable, and receivable to ensure financial accuracy.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements and reports, offering insights into the financial health of the property portfolio.
* Reconciliation: Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies, maintaining orderly financial records.
* Client Interaction: Manage communication with clients regarding billing and payments, enhancing client satisfaction and financial reliability.

Requirements:

* Professional Experience: Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within the property sector.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in MYOB Advanced, Xero, and Microsoft Excel.
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
* Communication Skills: Strong capabilities in both written and verbal communication.
* Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to developing accurate financial reports.

Desirable:

* Real Estate Knowledge: Prior experience in real estate or property management accounting.
* Advanced Reporting: Skills in financial analysis and reporting tailored to real estate investments.

Software Proficiency:

* Accounting Software: Expertise in MYOB Advanced and Xero.
* Microsoft Office: Proficient in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting.

Education:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field is required; additional certifications in accounting or real estate are advantageous.

Personal Attributes:

* Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
* Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex accounting tasks effectively.
* Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.

Time Zone: Australian Business Hours
