I am a writer, first and foremost. I am a writer by passion, profession, and education.

I am a graduate of the Creative Writing Program at the University of the Philippines Mindanao. I am the recipient of both the Dean’s Medal for Culture and the Arts, and the Chancellor’s Medal for Culture and the Arts. Both awards are for my contributions to notable literary publications, including—Softblow Poetry Journal, Quarterly Literary Review Singapore, Philippines Free Press, and Philippines Graphic, among others.

Outside of the university, I was awarded fellowships to some of the most selective writers workshops in Southeast Asia. I attended the Silliman University National Writers Workshop in Upgrade to see actual info the summer of the same year, I attended the Iligan National Writers Workshop, where I won the Balacuit Literary Awards for Poetry. And in 2014, I attended the IYAS National Writers Workshop.

I was already writing professionally long before graduating from the university, mostly out of necessity, as I needed to work in order to pay for my Upgrade to see actual info the first few years of my professional career, I had the privilege of working with several Australian companies that occupy vastly different niches. This gave me an invaluable appreciation for the nuances of copywriting and content writing very early on in my career. This spurred me into becoming a much more diverse, dynamic, and proficient writer.

I started in 2012 when I was first hired as a copywriter for Snap It Deals—a food-business-focused advertising agency that connects restaurant-goers to local dining destinations in Australia. During my employment with the company, I was responsible for writing restaurant profiles, menu descriptions, and food reviews, as well as voucher blurbs.

Also in 2012, I was a copywriter for ClutchWave—a health-and-wellness digital agency that specializes in branding and marketing nutritional products, dietary supplements, and fitness pharmaceuticals. I was primarily writing conversion-driven articles for the company, including—landing pages, in-depth product descriptions, and blog posts.

In 2013, I was a creative writer for CKTY Publishing Solutions—a digital publishing house that creates and distributes educational ebooks for children, mostly on the subjects of wildlife and nature. Outside of ghostwriting ebooks, I was also writing listicles and fun-fact-style feature articles for online magazines.

Also in 2013, I was a content writer for Australian Web Marketers—a creative agency that provides custom digital solutions to a wide variety of businesses in Australia. I helped satisfy the agency’s commercially diverse content needs by writing blog posts on just about anything—from pest control remedies to gold investment strategies, and everything in between.

In 2014, I was a copywriter for Aceza—a web design company based in Davao City that offers comprehensive digital marketing solutions to private-practice dentists and chiropractors in Australia. During my time with the company, I was predominantly writing landing pages, social media posts, and blog posts, among other articles.

In 2015, I was a copywriter for MadHat—a digital marketing agency that provides custom website solutions to flood and water damage restoration companies in Australia. I was largely responsible for meeting the varied content requirements of the company, including—web pages, blog posts, call-to-action articles, etc.

In 2017, I was a creative writer for Short Penguin Media—a creative multimedia agency that produces viro-educational Youtube content, mostly on the subjects of history, mythology, and conspiracy, among other curiosities. I created long-form scripts that later served as foundational materials for documentary-style Youtube videos.

Also in 2017, I was a copywriter for Ryker Hardware—a US-based online hardware store that carries an extensive selection of construction equipment and home improvement products. I wrote product descriptions, product reviews, extended product comparisons, buyers guides, and blog posts, for the most part.

For roughly two years, until later in 2019, I was a copywriter for WestPac Wealth Partners—a privately-held wealth management firm that is connected to an expansive network of clients in the US. I was in charge of researching, creating, and recreating every piece of written material that the company required, including—web pages, blog posts, event advertisements, email sequences, seminar transcriptions, etc.

In 2021, I was a copywriter for Loading Growth—an IT services coaching firm that provides revenue acceleration and business expansion programs to IT consultancies in Australia and New Zealand. I was in charge of developing and producing a wide array of informational materials and conversion-oriented articles, including—web pages, email sequences, social media posts, blog posts, video scripts, etc.

In 2022, I was a copywriter for Strong Roots Web Design—a boutique digital marketing agency that provides full-service custom website solutions exclusively to mental health professionals based in the US. I was responsible for crafting high-empathy web copies for the agency’s clientele of private-practice psychotherapists, psychologists, social workers, etc.

Also in 2022, I was a copywriter for Find Energy—an online marketplace and brokerage firm that facilitates the sale of energy, energy services, and energy products to residential, commercial, and industrial consumers across the US. I was writing copies, reviews, and various articles—including spintax articles—out of government and private sector data, as well as other forms of market research. I also oversaw the operation of the company’s entire offshore copywriting department.

Most recently, I was a copywriter for Lewis Products—a vertically integrated, multi-brand product development company that manufactures, markets, and distributes a wide variety of consumer goods in the US, Canada, and Australia. I was in charge of writing website copies, Kickstarter stories, press releases, video scripts, and blog posts, among other things, for two of the company’s latest startup ventures—a brand of thread restoration tools called Rotary Thread and a brand of bed-making accessories called Zlumber.

Outside of my primary profession as a writer, I am also a licensed real estate Upgrade to see actual info addition to my primary skill set in writing, I also have professional expertise in facilitating the sale of residential real estate in the Philippines. I run a small-scale real estate brokerage firm in Davao City.

I am a proper writer. I have a functional mastery of the English language. I am adept at using the written word—as an instrument of communication, as a craft of expression, and as a tool of commerce.

I am a capable candidate. I have both the formal academic education and the practical real-world experience necessary to be effective in most professional settings.
