Australian Tax Accountant

-Process and complete annual financial statements for group accounts from bookkeeping up to producing financials.  -Prepare and complete Income Tax for a range of clients, ranging from Individuals, Trusts, Companies, etc.  -Responsible for the technical accuracy of the tax work for the clients  -Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation including GST reconciliation, bank reconciliation, payroll, hire purchases and other accounts.  -Experience with accounting for rental properties and capital gains transactions. -Tax work includes Division 7A, or at least able to identify a Div 7A problem, and deal with it appropriately.  -Tax work includes Franking Credit Calculation  -Tax planning including trust distribution and declaration of dividend  -Assist with the ATO client correspondence and queries.  -Communicating and responding to ATO notices  -Train junior accountants  -Review BAS and individual tax return
