I am a versatile writer with an extensive background in
communication and public relations. I have over 30 years of experience writingpress releases, news articles, feature stories, and commentaries. Additionally,
I produce message packages and speeches to support strategic communication
initiatives. The majority of my writing focuses on politics, public safety and
security, and peace and order issues.
Before his retirement in January 2024, I worked as a public
relations consultant and personal speechwriter for retired police Lieutenant
General Rhodel O. Sermonia, former Deputy Chief of Administration for the
Philippine National Police. I also served as the Police Community Affairs and
Development Group's (PCADG) advocacy consultant for information development
operations, community empowerment initiatives, and the mobilization of force
multipliers and non-governmental organization support groups.
I contributed articles to the PNP Journal and Pulis Serbis
Balita, the national police's primary magazine and newsletter. When asked, I
also give lectures to PNP personnel undergoing specialized training for PCADG
on topics such as news writing in relation to communication operations and
perception management, as well as community organizing and mobilization
activities in support of the government's campaign to weaken communist
insurgent infiltration operations in various communities.
Aside from writing speeches, feature articles, and concept
papers for the PNP's advocacy initiatives, I was also involved in various
public relations jobs, such as crisis management and damage control operations
for several government agencies other than the PNP, corporate entities,
political parties, and candidates. I also write narratives for individual
nominations for National Prestigious honors, such as the Metrobank Foundation
Inc., Outstanding Filipino Awards, Civil Service Commission Presidential
Lingkod Bayan Awards, and various organizational-level honors for PNP personnel
and units.
In 2013, I served as a co-terminus Congressional Staff and
Political Affairs Assistant II for former ACT-CIS Party-List Congressman Samuel
D. Pagdilao Jr., serving as his personal speechwriter and ghost columnist.
Before this, I worked for Pagdilao as an Executive Consultant starting in 2006,
when he served as the spokesperson and Chief of the Public Information Office.
I developed strategic communication plans for the PNP until he retired as
Director of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group before he was
elected as a party-list representative.
I was a regional correspondent for the Manila Times before I
spent several years working in the PNP's public relations department. I graduated
from the Lyceum of the Philippines with a degree in journalism.
My goal in becoming a freelancer is to broaden my network
through virtual assistance employment, with the expectation of gaining
professional progress and increasing earnings potential in this new industry.
This home-based work environment is particularly appealing to me because it
allows me to balance my time between my job and family obligations.

Experience: 10+ years
My writing experience is so extensive that I can write about anything that promotes or piques the public's curiosity. In addition to writing press releases for the Philippine National Police, which I have been doing since 2006, I also write blogs, opinions, and editorials, as well as content for social media posting. Furthermore, I participated in numerous crisis management initiatives and public relations efforts for both public and commercial entities. As a senior writer, I have written column feeds and news pieces aimed at influencing public opinion, minimizing damage to clients' public perceptions, and other image branding tales.

I have two decades of active involvement in image branding, perception management, and media relations operations with the Philippine National Police. I crafted message packages and assisted in the execution of several overt and covert information development operations designed to influence public perception in support of the government and deflect anti-government narratives. Aside from the PNP, I have experience working with public relations organizations that specialize in crisis management campaigns for some political figures in the Philippines and high-profile organizations involved in power generation and distribution, air passenger welfare issues, and mining operations.
