The Link Building Manager will own all link building efforts for our clients. This individual will build, train, and lead a team to scale outreach efforts and execute link building tactics that successfully earn links for our clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that clients are getting what they need to be successful within their budgets and building training to quickly bring on new tea
Responsibilities:
Account Support
+ Be a strategic partner for our clients
+ Provides high-level strategic guidance to clients and tea
+ Leading and supporting accounts directly as needed
+ Assists in the initial onboarding of new clients and offboarding of canceled clients
+ Work closely with Account Managers and SEO strategists to address campaign performance concerns
People
+ Assists in the hiring, general onboarding, and offboarding of new employees
+ Conducts performance evaluations with direct reports that are timely and constructive
+ Schedules and participates in a weekly update meeting with direct reports to discuss priorities, accomplishments, and hurdles
+ Provides necessary individual and group training opportunities to bring the team to a higher level of performance and capacity
+ Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed following company policy
+ Coordinate with other departments and managers to ensure that link building efforts align with overall agency and client goals
Operations
+ Assign tasks and projects to tea
+ Monitor the performance of link building campaigns to ensure they are meeting desired goals
+ Support the quality assurance of link building efforts, ensure content has been placed and coded properly on 3-party websites
+ Create and maintain a library of link acquisition templates and resources for the team
+ Create and maintain a list of potential link acquisition targets, including industry-relevant directories, niche blogs, and other content sites
+ Foster relationships with website owners and editors to establish long-term link acquisition partnerships
+ Stay current on the latest search engine optimization best practices and algorithm updates
+ Ensure that the agency’s link building techniques are in compliance with industry standards
+ Develop and maintain budgets for link building campaigns
+ Develop department processes to increase efficiency, consistency, and quality of work delivered; continually re-assess and revise procedures as needed
+ Stay informed about the industry trends and developments in the link building field
+ Maintaining effective and efficient communication among the team
+ Devises strategies to ensure the growth of department service offerings, identifying and implementing process improvements that will maximize output and minimize costs
+ Manage vendor relationships while continuously auditing their work for accuracy, account performance, and client expectations
+ Provide ongoing training to the SEOs, AMs and FSAMs on the latest link building trends, strategies, and tools
+ Uses all of the company’s business management and communication platforms to keep stakeholders informed, tasks assigned, and projects well managed in accordance with deadlines
+ Builds and maintains relationships with all department heads, external partners, and vendors to assist in making decisions regarding operational activity and strategic department goals
+ Assists sales team with presentations and proposal development
+ Research new tools and vendors for our marketing programs
+ Performs other duties as assigned by management
Experience: 10+ years
