I used Xero to manage a startup company under the EOR industry and another company under the Venture Capital industry. Both are not engaged in selling inventories and operated remotely but kept no proper accounting trail, hence, I had to setup the books of accounts of these companies to keep the financial accounting and reporting moving.

I have been doing Philippine payroll since January 2022. First, I did manual payroll calculations using Google Sheets. The compensation, taxes, and government contributions were all computed manually. Eventually, I learned to use Sprout when I had to conduct payroll for almost 200 employees. I have been preparing BIR Form 1601C as well and I managed the tracking and payment os salaries as well as the remittance of government contributions of our employees.

I handled end-to-end bookkeeping, from sending invoices to recording collections, from capturing bills and invoices to processing payments, from payroll computation to payroll disbursement and manual journals, and from bank reconciliation to preparation of monthly reports.

I single-handedly reconciled the financial accounts of a startup company in the EOR industry. Basically, I conducted an audit for all financial accounts, starting from the assets, liabilities, the share capital, and then the income and expenses. I even had to track down payroll disbursements to each employee (there were about 200 employees), receipts and invoices from prior year in order to close the correct profit and loss statement.

Most of my financial accounting experience was based on the startup company I handled that was engaged in EOR. As we were a service-oriented company, the financial reports prepared were focused on revenues rather than on sales of inventory. We also operated remotely, hence there was no need for the depreciation of PPEs.

The manager of the VC company forwards pitchdecks to me and I list these potential clients on the CRM using Notion. I capture the details about the founder, the operation, and other vital information from the pitchdecks and save it in Notion for the manager's review in the future.

Pitchdecks from pipelines are normally sent via Docsend. For instances when the decks are encrypted, the same cannot be downloaded as PDF, hence I have to manually input it to Google Docs in order to be saved as a PDF.
