As an interior designer with 5 years of experience and a background CAD Operator, I have had the opportunity to combine my passion for design with my technical skills. I will share my journey from being a draftsman to becoming an interior designer and the valuable lessons I have learned along the way.
Before becoming an interior designer, I worked as a draftsman for several years. This experience gave me a strong foundation in technical drawing and design principles, which are essential skills for an interior designer. My experience in drafting also exposed me to various software tools and technologies used in the design industry, such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
As a draftsman, I was responsible for creating detailed drawings and specifications for architectural and engineering projects. This experience taught me the importance of attention to detail and accuracy in my work. I also developed strong communication skills, as I frequently worked with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders in the design process.
In conclusion, my journey from being a draftsman to becoming an interior designer has been incredibly rewarding. My background in drafting has given me a strong foundation in technical skills and attention to detail, while my experience as an interior designer has allowed me to combine my passion for design with my technical skills. I am grateful for the opportunities I have had and look forward to continuing my journey in the world of interior design.
