As a development communication undergrad, I specialize in writing for comprehensibility. I make sure my writing is easy to understand and has the capability to captivate my intended audience. To this end, I do my best to research about my audience and what they consume, craft and follow RTOs, and assess my performance based on what was done well and what could be improved.
Experience: 2 - 5 years
I started with technical writing during high school and I can confidently say I have went through enough IMRAD-format articles to write technical papers. I possess sufficient knowledge in qualitative and quantitative research. I also took a class in science communication where we were taught how to effectively communicate scientific papers to mass audiences.
Experience: Less than 6 months
I consume a lot of content on TikTok and X, making me a candidate for one of your most chronically online employees. I understand online references and jokes, and can make your content more relatable and palatable for younger audiences.
Experience: 5 - 10 years
I have written several papers in classes of various fields (ethics, agriculture and applied economics, chemistry, history, etc.) and garnered high scores. My background in debate and development communication has helped me ensure my points are easily understood, logical, and coherent.
Experience: 6 months - 1 year
I use a matrix I developed in university whenever I am required to write articles. This includes the 5Ws and 1H, the issue, the experts' opinion, the man-on-street's opinion, the prospective solution, and other details pertinent to the topic (historicization, connection to other issues, etc.). I am currently working on improving my skills in what readers would like to know by dissecting articles I read online.
