I used QuickBooks to manage accounts receivable and accounts payable. This included creating and sending invoices to customers, bank posting, recording payments when received, and following up on overdue accounts. As for me, QuickBooks’ reporting features were useful for generating aging summaries, which helped in identifying and addressing delinquent accounts.

Performing bank reconciliation involves a systematic process to ensure that the company's financial records match the bank statements. This process starts by importing the bank statement and the company’s internal ledger data into Excel. Using tools like VLOOKUP, MATCH, or INDEX and MATCH, I identify transactions that appear in both records. Any discrepancies are flagged, with unmatched transactions requiring investigation to determine if they are due to timing differences, bank errors, or internal recording mistakes.

Data analysis is pivotal for extracting actionable insights from financial data. Leveraging tools like Microsoft Excel, I conduct comprehensive analyses to evaluate the company's financial performance, identify trends, and assess risks. This involves analyzing financial statements, conducting variance analysis against budgets or forecasts, and examining customer behavior and product profitability.
