Profile Description

> Has immediate to advance knowledge with Xero Cloud Accounting and its related/integration platforms (Shopify, Unleashed, Square);  
> Well-versed in AU and NZ taxation;  
> Capable to work within and lead a team and can also work independently with minimal to no supervision;  
> Has excellent communication skills and client-service oriented;  
> Able to effectively manage time and large workload without compromising quality and tight deadlines; 
> Flexible to work in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment; and > Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel advanced functions such as pivot, vlookups, etc. 

Australian Tax Experience
>Prepares minimum financial reporting requirements, annual report, income tax returns and workpapers using Xero Cloud Accounting (along with other platform’s integration such as Shopify, Unleashed, Square) for Australian small businesses, companies, partnerships and trusts;
>Prepares workpapers and income tax return for individual’s personal income and business;
>Performs GST reconciliation, Payroll, and prepares Business Activity Statements;
>Prepares and submits application for government grants and annual ASIC registration;
>Deals with ATO queries regarding tax affairs and lodgments, ATO relationship management, and other administrative tasks; and
>Contributes to the setting up of process and procedures, continuous development and refinement of practice policy.

New Zealand Tax Experience
>Prepares workpapers, income tax returns and cover letters of medium-sized to large-sized companies, partnerships and trusts using the TaxLab Application (an online accounting and tax software) and individuals with varying net worth (including individuals on secondment or under Global Mobility Services);
>Prepares of tax balances and minimum financial reporting requirements (IR10) mandated by the Inland Revenue for NZ companies;>Prepares financial statements, income tax returns and workpapers using Xero Cloud Accounting for New Zealand-based partnerships, companies and trusts of a wide range of industries such as property investments, retail and consultancy for their annual tax compliance;
>Maintains day-to-day accounting records for NZ clients and prepares FBT and GST returns;
>Prepares risk management documents required prior to commencing the engagement or acceptance of clients and aids on the set up of new and existing clients on Engagement Centre (new service) and establishes materials and guides for the said new service;
>Performs detailed review of and sign-off on work prepared by Manila TeaUpgrade to see actual infombers under New Zealand Corporate Tax (NZ CT) and International Assignment Services (IAS) before final submission to the client;>Subject-matter expert, champion and a pioneer user of TaxLab; and point of contact between Manila Team and NZ Team for both NZ CT and IAS;
>Provides technical coaching sessions, technical trainings/refresher trainings and training materials to Manila Team for NZ CT and IAS and contributes to the establishment of best practices for NZ CT and IAS; and
>Acts as team lead for 3 members and liaises with engagement teams/client and supervisor/managers for various and big NZ work requests to provide smooth flowing workload between contacts and assures that the timelines set are met.
