Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Driving the audit engagement by leading and supervising the audit work from planning to conclusion of the engagement
• Assisting the engagement manager in resolving audit and accounting issues and provide update to the engagement Partner by keeping them informed with the progress/issues on the audit engagement on a weekly basis
• Actively participating in client engagement planning meetings and team planning events.
• Designing effective audit work programs and prepare client deliverables
• Performs audit planning and other important aspect of audit engagements including risks and issues assessment, time budgeting, staff requirements, timing and extent of audit procedures to be performed;
• Demonstrates technical understanding and business know-how to propose valuable solutions and recommendations to relevant accounting issues and internal control deficiencies or weaknesses;
• Document our understanding of the new audit client’s business and industry, government regulations affecting the client, and identification of critical business risks that may have impact on the fairness of the financial statement such as COVID-19 impact on business and financial statement audit reporting
• Prepare and review of financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, changes in equity, cash flows and notes to financial statements) and other reporting requirements as mandated or required.
• Assist the cluster leader in monitoring staffs and performing admin tasks.
