My tasks include calling patients to collect balances and updating addresses to make sure statements are mailed to the correct address, investigating claims that were initially denied by the insurance and resolving them by sending amended claims, appeals with proper documents needed, verifying and charging the patients' responsibilities such as deductibles, co-insurance, and copay using the credit card on file.
