I have worked with 2 prestigious financial institutions as a customer service representative for more than 4 years, 1 year as a hotel booking specialist, and a reconciliations analyst for 1 and a half years. My recent and longest customer service experience was with a global financial institution where I started as a card specialist. After 2 years, I got upskilled to CSR II covering personal deposit accounts, certificate deposits, and digital banking. And finally, after 2 months, I got recommended by my team manager for another upskill training for CSR III or we call Premier relationship specialist role. In this role, I am able to optimize my ability in operations. Being able to assist to everything related to credit card and deposit accounts except underwriting qnd collections duties. We assist branch representatives as well for requests related to clients’ online banking.
One thing I love and cherish about my experience as a customer service is the feeling of fulfillment whenever issues with the clients' accounts get resolved through my assistance. I learned that to be an effective customer service representative, one must be compassionate enough to understand and consider the circumstances of the customers. Successful customer servicing doesn't have to mean that we give customers whatever they want no matter what, because as a specialist, more often than not, customers do not know the best solution that's why they seek assistance from us. This is the perfect time to make them feel assured that we will provide them the best and fairest assistance that they deserve making it a customer-centric experience. Good communication is really the key! From acknowledgment to knowing when to use rapport or empathy, and willingness to serve the customer for them to feel assured. Effective communication helps a lot in establishing good relationship with customer. They may eventually become potential advocates of the company spreading the good words which will benefit the business in the long run. Surveys also plays a big part in improving the business. In fact, as a customer service representative, I love feedback. Surveys determine the area in which improvement is needed.
In addition to customer servicing, I am glad to share that I recently attended and completed a 7-days coaching course about Social Media Managing and mind you, I was so delighted to know that managing online presence has a lot to do with good customer servicing. Branding, which is an essential factor of an effective social media presence can be optimized thru content creation and your social media profile itself.
Based on my background, you will notice that I can be pretty good in adapting. I am particularly good at working independently with integrity, reliable, competent, easily trained, and most of all persistent to grow.
