Profile Description

I have 8 years experienced in working US-based Healthcare insurance and Medical Billing. I am familiar in coding with the correct CPT, ICD-10, modifier, place of service, etc. I have experienced in Mental health, DME, Physical Therapy, Chiro, Family Medicine, Orthophedics, Dental, Medical Laboratories, COVID, etc.
I have been exposed to most of the areas in Patient and Insurance Billing such as :
1. Patient account management which includes patient registration and appointment scheduling
2. Verification of patient eligibility and benefits and identification of correct payers
3. Claims Creation from EMR or Superbills
4. Resolving Clearinghouse rejections and some EDI errors
5. Verification of Provider's Contract Info [contract, network participation, contract fee schedule] with payers/insurances to assure that providers are being paid correctly
6. Payment Posting from insurances and patient and dealing with Zero-Paid EOB's
7. Setting up ERA and assisting in provider's EFT setup
8. AR follow up which includes insurance phone calls
9. Resolving claim issues and and denials
10. Registration of provider tools such as Availity, Navinet, UHC-Link, Optum, etc.
11. Interpretation of patient EMR
12. Received phone calls from the Patient/Provider
13. Scheduling an Appointment.
14. I have a strong background as a CPC billing the correct ICD, CPT, Modifiers depending on the service.
I am expert on resolving clearinghouse rejections, denials from insurance, checking EOB's, posting payments, following up on claims status and appeal disputes.
