• Investigates cases for recovery opportunities. These opportunities are achieved through chargebacks, working directly with merchants, merchant banks and other departments within the company and reviewing account activity with cardholders to identify save opportunities.
• Ensures that all tasks are accomplished within the required turnaround time especially in strict observance of Visa/Mastercard Regulations and Mandates.
• Assesses validity of fraud claims by reviewing all pertinent information to the case and analyzing customer transaction patterns or history.
• Establishes contact with card members, merchants and third parties for challenge or re-bill opportunities.
• Computes and balances credit card accounts by debiting and crediting fraudulent charges and fees between open and closed accounts.
• Ensures bank compliance with US laws and regulations for credit-issuing banks like FACT (Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions) ACT, Regulation Z and Anti-Money Laundering Act.
• Performs analysis of fraud losses to identify changes in fraud behavior and opportunities, ultimately reducing and protecting the bank and clients against fraud cases which could end in financial losses and/or losses of reputation.
• Makes recommendations to management with regard to fraud trends, workflow and strategy revisions.
