My most recent Marketing Manager position was in one of the branches of SM Supermalls - one of Southeast Asia's biggest mall operators. My responsibilities included tenant/partner relations and mall event and campaign planning and implementation, among other tasks basic to the role. Just last year, I worked as an Event Manager for Australia's leading sports photography provider, Sports In Focus. As I am based in Cebu, I remotely organized, marketed, and managed events in Australia from its preparation up to photo delivery. At the same time, I also provided administrative support to our Account Managers based abroad.
From 2013 to 2018, I worked for the Philippines' leading boxing promoter, ALA Promotions, Inc., where I started as an Admin. Assistant/Travel Coordinator. In less than a year, I got promoted to an Executive Staff (to the President/CEO) level position, and a few months after, was working as the Executive Assistant. My day-to-day tasks focused on keeping the departments working effectively together and making sure each performed according to the company's standards. During my later years in the company, after my direct experience with the President/CEO (who also owned ALA), I was assigned to manage the PR, Events, and Marketing departments. I handled tri-media local, national, and international interviews and press conferences for our events and talents, while making sure our presence as a group was well presented and received by our target audience. I also handled ex-deal sponsorships as part of my marketing role, and managed release of advertisements for the whole company, while I made sure our events go as smoothly as possible with the help of our exclusive TV Partner. It was also during my years in the company that it became the first and only Philippine-based boxing promotions group to organize and stage international boxing events in Dubai and U.S.
Before I joined the corporate world, I initially started out as an English Instructor for a Korean Company in Cebu where I taught high school - professional level foreign nationals coming from Korea, Russia, Taiwan, and Japan. This was right after I graduated with an International Studies Degree from the University of San Jose - Recoletos in 2012.
