Job Title: Virtual Cosmetic Chemist for Shampoo Bar & Conditioner Bar Development

About Us:

Éclat de Barre is an innovative personal care brand based in the US dedicated to creating an eco-friendly, high-performance luxury hair care product. We are seeking an experienced Cosmetic Chemist to join our team and help us develop a new line of luxury shampoo bar and conditioner bar that stand out in the market.



Role Summary:

The ideal candidate will handle formulating shampoo and conditioner bars that align with our brand’s commitment to sustainability and luxury. They will work closely with our suppliers, particularly our Chinese manufacturing partner, to ensure the final product meets our high standards for quality and performance.



Responsibilities:

Refine and test existing shampoo bar formulations to ensure efficacy in both hard and soft water environments.

Optimize surfactant combinations to enhance the lather and luxurious feel of our products.

Identify and integrate natural oils, butters, proteins, and other ingredients that promote hair health, with a focus on preventing hair loss.

Adhere to eco-friendly standards in formulation; avoid the use of parabens, silicones, phthalates, artificial fragrances, and dyes. If Sulfates are to be utilized, it should be limited to natural variants like Sodium Coco-Sulfate.

Conduct market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the personal care market, with a focus on competitor products available on Amazon.



Qualifications:

Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may substitute for educational requirements.

Experience in personal care product formulation preferred. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in related fields who demonstrate a deep interest in transitioning to cosmetic formulations.

Familiarity with raw materials, surfactants, and current trends in hair care.

Understanding manufacturing processes and quality control.

Effective communication and project management skills.

Additional Notes:
