Web Developer and Video Editor

Hannah Akintoye Law, PLLC is a Washington, DC criminal defense and injury law firm. We are seeking to add a web developer/video editor to the team.

The ongoing function for the role will be to revamp the firm’s WordPress website and add previously posted social media videos to the website. The secondary function of the role will be to edit the firm’s social media videos and post the videos throughout the law firm’s social media platforms. No extensive video editing experience is required but must be able to navigate an ai assisted video editing software such as descript.

The position would require a commitment of approximately 20-40 hours/week working during US Eastern Standard Time, and any days/time frames where the attorney is launching digital products, courses, lead magnets, etc. Flexibility for working hours can be permitted at times.

We are looking for someone who is interested in having a long-term relationship with our firm. This is a remote position, and requires a 6-month minimum commitment. There will be an initial 30-day observation period in the role to determine if the candidate is the right fit for the role.

The following are the ongoing duties of the role:

• Creating, editing, and maintaining web pages and landing pages for the firm’s WordPress site
• Graphic design and creation of social media posts, flyers, videos, and lead magnets posted on website and on law firm’s social media pages
• SEO maintenance and management of website


These are the Secondary Duties of the Role
• Video editing
• Managing social media platforms and posting to platforms
• Using the Active Campaign CRM features in connection with landing pages
• Managing Google Analytics
• Market research
• Keyword research
• Competitor analysis
• Other related marketing tasks



Required experience and tools:

• Minimum education of a bachelor's degree
• 2 years minimum experience in web design, and graphic design
• Basic experience with using code on WordPress sites
• Access to a computer with video capabilities, secure WIFI, and fast RAM
• Advanced English and writing skills
• Detail-oriented, and frequently checks work to avoid mistakes


Compensation:

The rate of pay starts at $6/hour and can increase up to $8.50/hr depending on experience and skill level. The position will require a 6 month minimum commitment. You will be evaluated regularly, and at the end of the 6 months, if your performance is exceptional, our goal is to offer a more permanent position with the law firm.
