Virtual Paralegal (US Healthcare)

MedCore Solutions is seeking a dedicated Virtual Paralegal (Regulations Compliance Specialist) ASAP. As a Virtual Paralegal (Regulations Compliance Specialist) at MedCore Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our mission by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on regulatory changes that affect the healthcare industry. You will work closely with healthcare organizations to implement compliance strategies and solutions that meet current legal and regulatory standards. This is a permanent work-from-home position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with a diverse team of professionals.

Responsibilities
Regulatory Monitoring: Continuously track and analyze changes in healthcare regulations at both the federal and state levels, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH, OSHA, and CMS guidelines
Compliance Reporting: Prepare detailed reports and updates on regulatory changes and developments, highlighting potential impacts on clients and suggesting appropriate compliance strategies
Client Support: Assist clients in understanding regulatory requirements and implementing compliance measures. Provide compliance on guidance best practices and corrective action plans as needed.
Training and Education: Develop and deliver training materials and sessions to clients and internal teams on regulatory updates and compliance procedures.
Assist in developing and implementing compliance strategies and programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Review and revise client policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Perform audits and internal assessments to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in compliance.

Schedule: Mondays - Fridays 8 hours/day ; 40 hours/week; Weekends off

Requirements
3+ years of experience as a Paralegal or Compliance Specialist, preferably in a regulated industry.
Experienced in researching state and federal regulations in the U.S. and abroad and capable of updating all laws on an annual basis or when regulations change. Any related experience in healthcare compliance, legal or regulatory affairs.
Familiarity with healthcare regulations, particularly HIPAA, is essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with our compliance management software (Airtable, Articulate)
Strong knowledge of relevant regulations and laws, with a focus on compliance in areas such as data privacy, consumer protection, or financial services.
Proficiency in conducting research and analysis to interpret complex regulations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex compliance concepts.
Detail-oriented and thorough, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
Knowledge of industry-specific compliance frameworks and standards is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in Legal Studies, Political Science, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
Amenable to work in a graveyard shift (US work time hours)
