Video Editor and Social Media Manager

Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and creative Video Editor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a passion for storytelling through video, and the technical skills to bring ideas to life. You will be responsible for editing and assembling recorded raw material into a suitable, finished product ready for broadcasting. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects.

Key Responsibilities:

Edit video content for various platforms including social media, websites, and promotional materials.
Collaborate with the creative team to develop video concepts and storyboards.
Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the video.
Input music, dialogues, graphics, and effects.
Create rough and final cuts.
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
Consult with stakeholders from production to post-production process.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements:

Proven work experience as a Video Editor.
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g., Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere, After Effects, Final Cut).
Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation, and continuity.
Familiarity with special effects, 3D, and compositing.
Creative mind and storytelling skills.
BS degree in film studies, cinematography, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with motion graphics.
Understanding of color grading.
Familiarity with sound design.
