About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Squarespace specialist with strong design skills to join our team at Anthropic. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of Squarespace's platform, with particular expertise in CSS customization, design implementation, and creating unique website experiences that transcend standard templates.
Key Responsibilities

Transform design inspiration into fully-realized Squarespace websites
Implement and maintain custom CSS solutions within Squarespace environments
Debug and reverse CSS changes when needed to prevent website breakages
Create unique website experiences that go beyond standard Squarespace templates
Design and optimize both mobile and desktop experiences for seamless user flow
Integrate video elements throughout the website, including landing pages
Customize themes while maintaining brand consistency
Manage color schemes and typography, including importing custom fonts
Configure and customize gallery layouts and functionality
Create and optimize sections using Squarespace's sectioning tools

Required Skills & Experience

Significant design experience (minimum 3 years recommended)
Proven expertise working with Squarespace (minimum 2 years recommended)
Strong understanding of CSS and how to implement custom code within Squarespace's platform
Experience with Squarespace's custom CSS injection feature
Advanced color theory knowledge and ability to match and implement brand color schemes
Typography expertise, including font pairing and hierarchy
Ability to organize layouts to improve user flow across both mobile and desktop versions
Experience integrating and optimizing video content within Squarespace
Ability to troubleshoot and reverse code changes when issues arise
Knowledge of best practices for web accessibility and performance
Understanding of responsive design principles
