JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who specializes in real estate transactions, including wholesaling, flipping, and rental properties. The ideal candidate will work closely with our CFO to ensure the financial health of the company. They will have a strong command of QuickBooks Online, possess excellent transaction management skills, and prepare accurate financial statements such as profit and loss reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Transaction Management: Accurately record and track all financial transactions related to wholesaling, fix-and-flip projects, and rental properties, ensuring proper categorization.
QuickBooks Online Management: Maintain the company’s financial data using QuickBooks Online, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for review by management and the CFO.
3. Project-Based Accounting: Track income and expenses related to individual real estate projects (wholesale deals, flips, and rental properties) and provide reporting on project profitability.
4. Cost Management: Monitor project costs and budgets, ensuring that expenses are in line with projections and providing regular updates to the CFO and management team.
5. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices and payments related to real estate transactions, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure that all receivables are collected on time and that payables are managed efficiently.
6. Tax Preparation Support: Assist the CFO in preparing financial data for tax filings and work closely with the company’s CPA.
7. Compliance and Recordkeeping: Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with real estate regulations and company policies.
8. Communication: Collaborate with the CFO, project managers, acquisition teams, and other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.

Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Bookkeeper in a real estate setting, with a focus on wholesaling, flipping, and rental property management.
1. QuickBooks Online Certified and proficiency in other accounting software.
2. Strong understanding of real estate transaction management, including property acquisitions, renovations, sales, and rental income/expenses.
3. Experience preparing and analyzing financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
4. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.
5. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
6. Knowledge of tax laws and regulations related to real estate.
7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the CFO and other teams.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in managing financials for a company closing 100+ deals per year.
2. Familiarity with real estate software platforms and transaction coordination tools.
3. Experience with rental property management financials and depreciation schedules.

Location: Remote
Schedule: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 1 PM EST
