**Job Description: IT Documentation Specialist**
**Overview:**
As an IT Documentation Specialist, you will play a vital role in creating, maintaining, and updating comprehensive documentation related to goods, services, and technologies offered to clients. You will collaborate with the IT team and system administrators to ensure accurate, up-to-date, and user-friendly documentation for client devices, software, and systems. Additionally, you will develop client-facing IT Books that explain the supported products and services.

- Create detailed documentation for IT systems, including hardware, software, networks, databases, and configurations.
- Develop user-friendly guides for installations, troubleshooting, and best practices.

- Implement version control systems to track changes and maintain revision histories.
**5. Knowledge Base Management:**
- Organize and maintain a centralized repository for IT-related information.
- Enhance searchability and accessibility of documentation.
**6. Documentation Standards:**
- Define and enforce standards, templates, and guidelines for IT documentation.
**7. Diagrams and Visuals:**
- Create network diagrams, VOIP system diagrams, and other visual aids.
**8. Collaboration:**
- Work with cross-functional teams, including network and system administrators, onsite techs, and project managers, to gather and document technical details.
**9. Continuous Improvement:**
- Identify and implement improvements to documentation processes, tools, and formats.

**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT or a related field, OR 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in documentation tools (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat).
- Familiarity with Wiki-based systems and content management platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence).

- 2-4 years of experience in technical support and IT documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to create structured and detailed documents and diagrams.
- Experience reviewing completed tickets and internal timesheets for accuracy.
- Ability to issue evaluations, approvals, and coaching for completed work.
- Strong communication, analytical, and multitasking skills.
