Career Paralegal (Davao Philippine-based)

We are seeking a Career Paralegal. The candidate should be a skilled legal professional with a knack for compliance, AML/CTF, and financial regulations. Two years and above years of experience as a lawyer or paralegal/legal secretary is also an advantage.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Main responsibilities at the starting point:
Support client projects related to AFSL and AML/CTF (AML/CTF Anti-Money Laundering / Counter-Terrorism Financing) compliance, including:
Performing independent AML assessments.
Developing AML/CTF programs and associated policies and procedures.
Preparing applications and amendments for AFSL.
Overseeing and supervising the activities of client representatives.
Conduct legal and regulatory research, providing summaries and reports.
Organize schedules and maintain calendars.
Participate in meetings and prepare detailed notes/minutes.
Handle file management, including opening and closing case files.
Communicate with clients regarding their matters.
Address inquiries via phone, email, and chat as needed.
Review and proofread documents for accuracy and clarity.
Contribute to marketing initiatives and manage social media activities.
Provide general administrative support and handle ad-hoc tasks as they arise.

Desired Skills and Experience:
Paralegals with a minimum of 2 years of legal experience, ideally obtained in a financial services and/or commercial environment.
Attention to detail is an absolute must.
Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
Excellent grammar and drafting skills, especially the ability to accurately and succinctly summarise materials without leaving out crucial points.
The ability to take charge of your own learning and work.
The ability to learn through observations, such as past examples.
Must be client-oriented and a problem-solver.
Must currently reside in Davao, Philippines.
