Job Title: Bookkeeper and Admin

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bookkeeper and Admin to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in various financial tasks including admin duties, weekly bank reconciliation, BAS preparation, payroll processing, bill management, invoice handling, tax cycle management, bookkeeping, and data entry. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and Australian taxation.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct weekly bank reconciliations to ensure completeness of financial records.
Prepare and lodge BAS statements in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage payroll processing including timesheet verification, salary calculations, and superannuation contributions.
Oversee bill management and invoice handling, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
Facilitate the tax cycle, collaborating with external stakeholders as needed for accurate reporting and compliance.
Perform general bookkeeping tasks including data entry, journal entries, and reconciliation of accounts.
Provide administrative support as required, including filing, document management, and correspondence handling.

Requirements:

Prior similar experience in Australian accounting and bookkeeping roles.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
Proficiency in Xero accounting software
Strong understanding of Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and teaUpgrade to see actual infombers.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
