Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Alibaba Specialist to join our team. This role involves sourcing high-quality suppliers on Alibaba to identify the best products at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, an understanding of global sourcing, and experience in evaluating suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing and product quality. You will work closely with product development teams to select suppliers, manage relationships, and ensure timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with reliable suppliers on Alibaba to source high-quality products that meet company specifications and quality standards.
Price Negotiation: Negotiate the best possible prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and cost savings.
Market Research: Continuously monitor and research product trends and market conditions to recommend new products and sourcing strategies.
Product Evaluation: Assess product quality through samples, reviews, and supplier backgrounds to ensure they meet the company's requirements.
Supplier Management: Manage and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, ensuring consistent product availability, on-time delivery, and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure all sourced products meet company standards and customer expectations.
Order Tracking: Monitor orders from placement to delivery, ensuring that products are shipped on time and in full compliance with agreements.
Data Management: Maintain and update supplier and product databases, ensuring accurate records of pricing, products, and communications.
Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to management regarding supplier performance, product costs, and sourcing trends.

Qualifications:
Proven experience sourcing products on Alibaba or similar global B2B platforms.
Strong understanding of supply chain management and global sourcing strategies.
Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to drive cost savings while maintaining quality.
Ability to analyze market trends and identify the best suppliers and products.
Experience with Alibaba's trade assurance and dispute resolution processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams.
Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple suppliers and products at once.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet sourcing and business objectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/ Google Sheets and other relevant tools for data management and reporting.

Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in e-commerce, retail sourcing, or product procurement.
Understanding of international shipping, customs, and import/export regulations.
Familiarity with quality control processes and product testing.

Pay:
$50 per month salary + up to bonuses $50, sometimes more. Must block out 20 hours per week in your schedule.

Pay Schedule:
We pay workers twice per month. If your salary is $50 per month, you will receive $25 on one pay period and $25 on the other pay period. For all work completed 1st of the month thru the 15th, invoices will be due on the 16th and processed. For all work completed on the 16th thru the end of the month. The invoice will be due and processed on the 1st. Bonuses will be paid out on the 1st of every month with your 2nd installment of each month.

This job requires you to talk to a bunch of suppliers and collect lots of detailed information. Sometimes it’s hard to only use Excel or Google sheets if there’s more information that needs to be gathered on each potential supplier. How would you organize all of the information that you receive from all of the suppliers?
