JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with construction industry experience in the U.S. to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing mechanical systems for construction projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role involves close collaboration with architects, project managers, and contractors to ensure the successful execution of mechanical engineering solutions.


Key Responsibilities:
Design and oversee mechanical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects.
Review and approve HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system designs to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
Work closely with architects, contractors, and project managers to resolve engineering challenges.
Perform calculations, simulations, and material selections for mechanical systems.
Prepare technical reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including ASHRAE, NFPA, and other relevant codes.
Assist in troubleshooting and problem-solving during construction and post-installation phases.


Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
2+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within the U.S. construction industry.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit) and mechanical design tools.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in construction.
Familiarity with building codes, ASHRAE standards, and LEED requirements.
PE (Professional Engineer) license is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.


Preferred Experience:
Experience working with general contractors and subcontractors.
Background in commercial, industrial, or healthcare construction projects.
Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainable design principles.
