Job requirements and necessary qualifications for a Purchasing and Logistics Assistant position for eCommerce business:
Job Requirements (Key Responsibilities)
1. Inventory Management:
? Ensure the accuracy of inventory systems weekly (SoStocked) to identify
products that need to be ordered.
2. Purchase Order Management:
? Draft and submit purchase orders for approval based on inventory needs
and supplier availability.
? Monitor and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
3. Shipping Coordination:
? Create and manage shipping containers with Allways Forwarding,
ensuring optimal sizes and arrangements based on product readiness.
? Coordinate logistics for shipments to Amazon and other marketplaces
(e.g., Walmart WFS, Amazon Canada).
4. Replenishment and Stock Management:
? Utilize replenishment systems to determine stock levels and d
products to send to Amazon.
? Send daily reports on out-of-stock items on Amazon and manage dropship
orders as needed.
5. Vendor Management:
? Communicate with vendors regarding order discrepancies and follow up
on incoming shipments.
? Determine what needs to be ordered from Wardley on a weekly basis and
collaborate with VA to place orders
6. Customs and Compliance:
? Assist in resolving discrepancies related to 7501 Customs forms in
collaboration with the Virtual Assistant (VA).
7. Food SKU Management:
? Calculate and determine reorder quantities for food SKUs, placing orders
as necessary.
8. Sales Support:
? Compile and send a monthly overage stock report to the sales team to
facilitate inventory planning and sales strategies.
Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing and logistics
Schedule: Full-time (40 hrs/wk), Mon to Fri, 9 am - 5 pm EST
Salary: USD 4.00 - 5.00 / hour
