JOB OVERVIEW

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Content Writer & SEO Specialist to join our web design agency. The ideal candidate will create high-quality, engaging content optimized for on-page SEO, perform in-depth competitor analysis and keyword research, and provide monthly performance reports. This role requires a strategic thinker who can blend creative writing with data-driven insights to boost our client’s online visibility and conversion rates.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation
Write clear, compelling, and SEO-friendly content for websites, blogs, landing pages, and other digital platforms.
Develop content that supports marketing goals and adheres to brand standards.
Collaborate with web designers and developers to ensure written content complements visual elements.

Competitor Analysis & Keyword Research
Conduct thorough competitor research to identify strengths, weaknesses, and content gaps.
Perform keyword research using tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs) to target high-value search terms.
Adapt content strategies based on competitor insights and keyword performance.

On-Page SEO Optimization
Optimize page elements (titles, headings, meta descriptions, image tags, internal links) to improve search rankings.
Ensure optimal keyword placement and density within content without compromising readability.
Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console) to track website performance.

Monthly Reporting & Analysis
Compile and present detailed monthly reports on website traffic, keyword rankings, and content performance.
Analyze data to identify trends, successes, and areas for improvement.
Provide actionable recommendations to enhance SEO strategy and user engagement.

Editorial & Brand Consistency
Maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and style across all written materials.
Proofread and edited content to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with guidelines.
Stay current with the latest copywriting and SEO best practices, tools, and trends.

Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with the marketing, design, and development teams to align strategies and project timelines.
Communicate progress, opportunities, and challenges to stakeholders.
Share insights and recommendations for website enhancements based on competitor research and SEO best practices.

Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 2+ years in content writing and SEO, including competitor analysis and keyword research.
Technical Skills: Proficiency with SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz) for keyword tracking and competitor analysis.
Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
Basic understanding of HTML and website structures is a plus.
Writing Skills: Excellent command of the English language, grammar, and style with a portfolio showcasing SEO-focused content.
SEO Knowledge: Solid understanding of on-page optimization techniques, meta tags, and best practices.
Analytical Abilities: Experience in interpreting analytics to create data-driven strategies and reports.
Soft Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills; ability to work independently and as part of a
cross-functional team.
