Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented 3PL Logistics and Warehousing Specialist to manage our logistics operations and third-party warehousing while assisting with procurement. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth and efficient supply chain operations, with an emphasis on logistics and warehouse coordination. Key Responsibilities:
Logistics (High Priority):
*Manage bookings and monitor courier deliveries, handling escalations, and ensuring on-time delivery to customers.
*Analyse courier performance and provide recommendations for improvements.
*Handle claims with couriers for any loss or damage to shipments.
Warehousing (High Priority):
*Serve as the key liaison with our third-party logistics (3PL) warehouse.
*Coordinate stock dispatches and resolve operational bottlenecks.
*Conduct periodic reviews of warehouse processes and propose improvements.
Procurement (Support Role):
*Assist in sourcing and onboarding new suppliers from Europe and China.
*Support negotiations on pricing and terms with suppliers.
*Track purchase orders and monitor shipment progress to ensure timely stock replenishment.
Stock Coordination:
*Work with internal teams to forecast demand and prevent stockouts.
*Monitor incoming shipments and update inventory records accurately.
Skills and Qualifications:
Core Competencies:
*Strong organisational skills for managing diverse responsibilities.
*Excellent problem-solving skills to address logistics, warehouse, and supplier challenges.
*Clear and effective communication, especially with suppliers, couriers, and warehouse teams.
Technical Proficiency:
*Advanced Google Sheets or Excel for tracking stock, budgets, and shipments.
*Familiarity with logistics or inventory management systems (e.g., ShipStation, WMS).
*Knowledge of import/export processes and documentation (e.g., INCOTERMS, customs regulations).
Industry-Specific Knowledge:
*Proven experience in e-commerce logistics or supply chain management.
*Strong understanding of 3PL warehousing operations.
Additional Skills:
*Adaptability to handle diverse and evolving responsibilities.
*Meticulous attention to detail in order tracking and inventory management.
*Initiative to proactively identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
