At Merchaint, we are a startup that has not launched our product, and we are looking for a talented individual experienced in node js backend and Next.JS front end to help us out in our journey.
We have been building the product for about 1.5 years , nearly 2 years, and are doing some final touches. We do expect that the launch will be successful and will require someone to work with us full time.
We are currently developing the product with the help of an IT contracting firm, but plan to hire our own resource to replace instead, and hence the job post.
This product touches on AI, so it is a plus if you are familiar with some of Google / AWS / OpenAI readily available AI APIs products.
We are very open to a part time / full time contract hourly basis, but when the product and business takes off, we will then convert into an actual full time position.
How we will be evaluating:
1. Evaluating Previous projects done
2. Unpaid Estimation Test - We will be providing all the necessary context and information on a specific feature, and will require you to give an estimation of the hours required.
3. Paid Estimation - We will provide the code base and any additional information required, and will require you to give a more thorough estimation
4. Paid Sample Development - We will require you to develop the feature as mentioned, and we will be measuring on a few factors (Both front and backend). Questions are encouraged to get clarity on the feature
5. Interview (1 round)
We are a small tight knitted team and are looking for someone to work with us on this long journey. We believe in giving back to the people who contributed if the business does take off.
If you think you have good work ethics, able to code at least 3-4 times faster than average developers, and is
Transparent
Passionate and Purpose Driven
Love to learn
High standards for your work
Exercise good judgment
We look forward to you applying.
Send us the past projects that you have done, and we shall move forward to the next step accordingly. And also an expected hourly rate.
