DBR Builders (NW) Ltd is a reputable property development company specializing in the conversion of commercial properties into residential buildings. We manage a varied portfolio, including blocks of flats ranging from 4 to 31 apartments. Position Overview:
As part of our ongoing expansion, we are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Technician to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our architectural and design teams by ensuring projects are carried out efficiently and meet the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans for various architectural projects, requiring proficiency in CAD software, a solid understanding of architectural principles, material calculations, ability to produce detailed M&E drawings, and the ability to accurately translate design concepts into technical drawings.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, sections, elevations, and specifications using CAD software.
• Development of design concepts and proposals.
• Conduct research and analysis of building regulations, zoning requirements, and construction standards.
• Prepare M&E drawings, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and structural plans.
• Calculate materials required and prepare accurate material quantity estimations.
• Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Manage and maintain project documentation and records.
• Collaborate with architects and designers to understand project requirements and design concepts.
• Ensure all drawings comply with building codes, zoning regulations, and other relevant standards.
• Incorporate feedback from project stakeholders into drawings.
• Work with engineers and other professionals to integrate structural, mechanical, and electrical components into architectural drawings.
• Maintain accurate records of drawings and project documentation.
• Assist in preparing specifications, schedules, and other project documentation as needed.

Required Technical Skills and Experience:
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in property development, with UK project experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction procedures, and ability to research and calculate material estimate.
• Proficiency in CAD software, particularly AutoCAD and SketchUp, is essential.
• Familiarity with other tools like Revit, Vray, MEP, and 3D modeling software is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical services (M&E)


Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
• A degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is desirable
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Quick adaptability to new software solutions.
• Proficient in verbal and written English communication.

Basic Skills:
• Familiarity with web research using search engines like Google.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint.

Compensation and Benefits:
• $5/hour

Work Schedule and Holidays:
• Full-time position: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm UK time (4pm to 12 midnight PH time) with an unpaid break of 1 hour.
• After the 6-month probation period, you will qualify for 12 days of holiday or sick pay per year (1 day per month), not accumulative for the following year.
• All UK bank holidays will be paid.
