I am seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager with contract negotiation skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in negotiating travel contracts, particularly in the F.I.T. and wholesale travel sectors. This role requires a persistent and ambitious individual who excels in communicating the business value proposition, building relationships over the phone and identifying key decision makers. However, I can train an organized individual with a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for travel contracts with hotels.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Identify and engage with decision makers to secure the best possible rates and conditions.
- Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive offerings.
- Prepare and review contract documentation, including performing rate shops to ensure competitive contracted rates.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align contract terms with business objectives.
- Monitor contract performance and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all contract negotiations and agreements.
Qualifications:
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust over the phone.
- Persistent, ambitious, and results-driven mindset.
- Ability to identify key decision makers and navigate complex organizational structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and contract management software.
Preferred Experience:
- Proven experience in contract negotiation within the travel industry.
- Strong understanding of F.I.T. and wholesale travel contract negotiation.
- Experience negotiating travel contracts specifically in the F.I.T. and wholesale travel markets.
- Established network of contacts within the travel industry.
