I have been in the industry for about eight years doing general and legal transcription. I started my career as a transcriptionist in October 2014 at Innodata Knowledge Services Inc. located in Legazpi, Philippines. I've been with the company from October 2014 to February 2019 handling various clients like documentaries produced for Discovery Channel, History, BBC, Nova Science, and PBS. For conferences, I've handled The Institution of Engineering and Technology for transcription and subtitling. As for legal transcription, I've handled some hearings from the State of California and Texas but just in a short period of time as I've focused more on our general transcription clients. During my stay at Innodata, I've become a transcriber/editor and subtitler.
The next company I worked for as a general transcriptionist is diVA Transcription Services located in Makati, Philippines. I've been with this company from April 2019 to this day as a FREELANCER. As for the clients, it varies from conferences to meetings with the US Government be it as focus groups or one-on-one interviews.
The transcription format that I'm familiar with is strict verbatim, clean verbatim, and edited summarize.
