#OpenToWork
I am currently a freelance copyeditor, content writer, and proofreader with almost 10 years of experience in excelling in different industries.
I worked as a project manager for UP Likhaan: Institute of Creative Writing where I planned, executed, and oversaw multiple flagship projects, including online events, seminar-workshops, and publications. Prior to becoming a project manager, I started as a project research assistant but I was already given the opportunity to spearhead projects including the UP National Writers Workshop, Philippine Writers Series, and the Madrigal-Gonzales Best First Book Award, to name a few, working closely with other writers and national artists.
Prior to Likhaan, I was also given the opportunity to become a creative director at Tipsy Tales, an immersive theater startup that tackles around Philippine folklore. I mentored my peers in stage management and set design, ensuring that the shows went smoothly. I was also responsible for creating production, sales and marketing workflow processes for Tipsy Tales.
My book editing career started when I became a science textbook development editor at Vibal Group, one of the top publication houses in the Philippines after working as a biology teacher and passing the PRC board.
In my 5-year stay in Vibal Group, I was also challenged to dive into HR where I became an employee relations
I also have a passion for creative writing since I have a knack for writing songs and short stories. To nurture these skills, I attended workshops such as the scriptwriting workshop by Ricky Lee and TBA.
I'm currently taking my Lean Six Sigma Green Belt to add to my arsenal of skills as a project manager.
I am always open to pursuing new opportunities outside of my comfort zone, while maintaining good time management and work-life balance.
Experience: Less than 6 months
